1st line IT Support Engineer

A vacancy has arisen for a 1st Line IT Support Engineer to join the growing Rheinmetall Defence UK (RDUK) team based at our Bristol location. The business is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual willing to assume a wide range of responsibilities within a dynamic and evolving environment.

Reporting directly to the IT Support Manager, you will provide vital technical support for the ongoing and expanding day-to-day IT needs of the business. This strategic role provides the 1st line technical skills required to support this transition and drive the long-term growth of our Information Management & Technology (IM&T) division.

The primary location for this role is our Bristol head office, with occasional UK travel required to support our other group sites.

Position Responsibilities:

Initial Point Of Contact: Act as the initial contact for local IT issues, providing initial troubleshooting and low level fixes, and supporting escalations as required.

Bristol Site Support: Help manage and maintain the primary IT infrastructure, server rooms, and localized hardware & software assets at the Bristol office

Cross-Site Mobility: Travel occasionally to secondary Rheinmetall Defence UK facilities to support deployments, upgrades, and local infrastructure projects.

Continuous Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and proactively implement modern IT solutions to support a rapidly expanding user base.
