About the Role

Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders, data teams, and technology partners to gather requirements, define success metrics, validate business logic, and ensure analytics outputs are accurate and aligned with business priorities
- Use SQL and Python to extract, transform, model, analyze, and visualize data from multiple enterprise sources
- Translate business questions into scalable analytics solutions, including curated datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and self serve reporting products
- Develop and maintain executive ready dashboards, scorecards, and reporting that monitor portfolio performance, operational drivers, and business outcomes
- Conduct diagnostic, predictive, and exploratory analyses to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends, and provide actionable recommendations
- Leverage automation, advanced analytics, and AI enabled tools to improve reporting efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Communicate complex analytical findings clearly through visual storytelling and audience appropriate narratives
- Contribute to data quality, governance, and documentation practices by identifying data integrity issues and documenting business definitions
- Leverage AI and advanced analytics tools to improve data quality, perform anomaly detection, and enhance workflow efficiency
- Support the exploration and implementation of AI driven solutions to generate insights and improve decision making
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in business intelligence and data analytics with large, complex datasets
- Experience using SQL or Python for data transformation
- Experience with data transformation tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, SSIS, or DataStage
- Experience using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Cognos Analytics, or Tableau
- Experience with data virtualization software such as Denodo
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VBA, data management and validation tools
- Solid understanding of finance and statistical principles and concepts
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Position Overview
- EDC is seeking a financial professional to be an important contributor to the Segment & Product Analytics team.
- The team supports the segment, product and commercial groups at EDC in Reporting and Analytics, Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting in depth reporting and analysis on business results that help drive informed decision making.
What you will be doing
- Partner with business stakeholders, data teams, and technology partners to gather requirements, define success metrics, validate business logic, and ensure analytics outputs are accurate, trusted, and aligned with business priorities.
- Use SQL and Python to extract, transform, model, analyze, and visualize data from multiple enterprise sources.
- Translate business questions into scalable analytics solutions, including curated datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and self serve reporting products that support strategic and operational decision making.
- Develop and maintain executive ready dashboards, scorecards, and reporting that monitor portfolio performance, operational drivers, and business outcomes.

- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of EDC products, portfolios, and business priorities to provide relevant and meaningful analytical insights.
What we are looking for
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.

Compensation Details
- Business Intelligence & Analytics 16: Salaries typically range from CAD 74,297 to CAD 99,063 annually, based on qualifications and experiences plus a performance based incentive.
Location
- Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, with a current requirement of two in office days per week, increasing to three days per week in September 2026 (subject to change).
- This role will be performed from EDC's headquarters in Ottawa.
- Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.
