Workshop Operations Manager (Sr. Engineer) – Mechanical Workshop | Qatar

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily Mechanical Workshop and Valve Section operations.
• Lead valve repair, maintenance, testing, inspection, and servicing activities.
• Ensure operational excellence, productivity, quality, and achievement of business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable technical, QA/QC, HSE, and industry standards.
• Prepare, review, and approve technical documentation, procedures, reports, and records.
• Maintain accurate QA/QC records for workshop, testing, repair, maintenance, and service activities.
• Manage workshop assets, equipment, tools, manpower, and resources effectively.
• Coordinate with clients, project teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Manage PMS and Call-Off Contract requirements.
• Support business growth, customer development, certifications, and accreditations.
• Develop the Valve Section team through recruitment, appropriate JDs, KPIs, training, and performance management.
• Ensure all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and applicable standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
• Strong experience in Mechanical Workshop and Valve Operations.
• Hands-on experience in valve repair, maintenance, testing, inspection, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, industrial maintenance, valve servicing, or a similar environment.
• Proven experience in workshop operations and team management.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC, technical documentation, HSE, and applicable industry standards.
• Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, and client coordination skills.
• Locally available in Qatar.
