Job Objective
Lead and manage central and project-site workshops for a contracting company.
Plan and supervise preventive and emergency maintenance for heavy equipment, machinery, and trucks to maximize availability, minimize downtime, and maintain cost and safety standards.
Workshop and Fleet Operations
- Manage daily workshop operations and distribute repair tasks among mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic technicians.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery.
- Lead emergency maintenance and field repairs at project sites to avoid construction delays.
- Inspect rented and owned equipment for compliance with work requirements and approved technical specifications.
Spare Parts and Warehouses
- Plan requirements for consumable and critical spare parts and monitor stock levels to reduce repair waiting times.
- Review quotations and coordinate with procurement, suppliers, and agents to obtain suitable quality and pricing.
- Analyze recurring wear and failures and apply engineering solutions to reduce them.
