About the Role

  • The Workplace Trainer will be responsible for providing training and assessment activities for all Environmental Services staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage partnerships with external training providers and internal subject matter experts to deliver relevant, high quality training and assessment programs.
  • Analyse training needs and assessment outcomes to recommend appropriate learning solutions and delivery methods.
  • Design, implement and facilitate compliant, industry aligned learning programs that support continuous improvement in workplace practice.
  • Develop and maintain resource networks to support employee career pathways, future training opportunities and workforce development.
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S policies, procedures and legislative requirements, including maintaining up to date mandatory training.
  • Identify, report and support the management of incidents and hazards, contributing to the planning and implementation of workplace health and safety measures.

What We're Looking For

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) or working towards, with a current Victorian Driver's Licence and Food Handlers Certificate.
  • High level computer proficiency and strong administrative, organisational and documentation skills.
  • Well developed presentation, communication and consultation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong empathy, cultural awareness and a service oriented approach, with the ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads independently and within a team.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
