The Workplace Services Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional facility support services within a corporate office environment.
This role ensures that conference rooms, pantries, restrooms, shower rooms, reception areas, collaborative workspaces, and office environments are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality, safety, and presentation.
The position serves as a key point of support for daily workplace operations by performing routine inspections, replenishing supplies, responding to service requests, assisting with meeting room readiness, monitoring facility conditions, and reporting maintenance issues.
Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a professional environment for employees and visitors.
- Clean and maintain pantry areas, including sinks, countertops, cabinets, dispensers, appliances, and garbage receptacles.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot clean flooring throughout assigned areas.
- Remove stains, scuff marks, and debris from walls, baseboards, doors, partitions, and common surfaces.
- Clean and polish glass, stainless steel, marble, and other specialty surfaces.
- Maintain elevator lobbies, stairwells, hallways, and reception areas in a clean and presentable condition.
- Place weather mats during inclement weather when required.
- Clean and sanitize sinks, mirrors, countertops, stalls, shower areas, and stainless-steel fixtures.
- Replenish soap, mouthwash, paper products, toiletries, and other restroom supplies.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
- Monitor and report issues related to lighting, sensors, water temperature, dispensers, and plumbing fixtures.
- Ensure all restroom and shower areas meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Clean conference room tables, credenzas, seating, vents, and related furnishings.
- Configure meeting spaces according to room setup requirements.
- Adjust room thermostats and ensure proper room conditions.
- Verify functionality of room technology, lighting, telephones, and conferencing equipment.
- Replenish supplies and facial tissues as needed.
- Assist with last-minute meeting room setups and workplace requests.
- Report documents or personal items left behind in meeting spaces.
- Maintain visiting attorney offices and executive spaces.
- Ensure collaborative areas, lounges, café spaces, and reception areas remain organized and guest-ready.
- Restock office supplies, copy paper, tissues, towels, masks, and other workplace amenities.
- Support office moves, workstation changes, and departmental requests.
- Unlock offices and provide access for scheduled maintenance activities.
- Conduct daily inspections of workplace equipment and facilities.
- Report malfunctioning equipment, including:
- Coffee and water dispensers
- Refrigerators and ice machines
- Lighting systems
- Conference room technology
- Elevator controls and card readers
- Doors, scanners, and access control systems
- Monitor facility conditions and communicate maintenance issues promptly.
- Empty trash and recycling containers throughout assigned areas.
- Monitor waste levels during peak occupancy periods and after meetings.
- Transport waste to designated collection areas following company procedures.
- Ensure waste and recycling bins are clean and properly maintained.
- Complete facility inspection checklists and service logs.
- Report damage, stains, repairs, safety hazards, and service deficiencies.
- Follow up on vendor cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Escalate issues requiring additional support or corrective action.
- Knowledge of the safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Understanding of workplace safety regulations and facility standards.
- Familiarity with conference room and office support operations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and basic office equipment.
- Ability to complete inspections and document findings accurately.

- Ability to interact professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, and management.

- Work is performed primarily in a corporate office environment.
- Frequent movement between floors, conference rooms, offices, pantries, restrooms, and common areas.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment, and waste-handling activities.
- May be required to work early mornings, evenings, or flexible schedules to support business operations.
- Occasional interaction with vendors, contractors, and building management personnel.
- Continuous attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
- Ability to prioritize competing requests and meet service expectations.
- Ability to identify and resolve routine workplace and facility issues.
- Ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive tasks.
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shifts.
- Regular bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30-50 pounds.
- Ability to push carts, cleaning equipment, and supplies.
- Frequent use of hands and arms for cleaning, stocking, and equipment operation.
- Ability to climb stairs and move throughout a multi-floor facility.
- Ability to visually inspect work areas and equipment for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) or more years of facilities, hospitality, janitorial, workplace services, or building support experience.
- Experience supporting conference centers, corporate offices, legal offices, or professional services environments preferred.
- Basic knowledge of workplace technology and office equipment.
