Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support workflow and automation solutions using platforms such as ServiceNow and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Work with business teams to understand their processes, identify opportunities for automation, and develop solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Build and maintain integrations between different business applications and systems using APIs, connectors, and other integration tools.
- Develop custom solutions and supporting applications using technologies such as C#/.NET and SQL when low-code tools alone cannot meet business needs.
- Test, troubleshoot, and maintain existing workflows, applications, and integrations to ensure they are reliable and perform as expected.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement new solutions, support system changes, and manage releases and upgrades.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, security, and development standards for automation solutions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI and automation, and identify opportunities to use them to improve business processes.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in software development, workflow automation, systems integration, or a related field.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hands-on experience developing workflow or automation solutions using a low-code platform, such as ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, or a similar platform.
- Experience with software development and programming languages such as C#/.NET and JavaScript.
- Experience working with SQL and databases.
- Experience connecting different applications or systems using APIs, integrations, or other integration tools.
- Strong ability to understand business processes and translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
