Job Purpose and Impact
The Workers Compensation Coordinator will lead workers compensation programs for the organization, working closely with Health Services, Safety and Production departments in the coordination of rehabilitation programs. In this role, you will be involved with filing and managing claims, submitting and conducting appeals, participating in industry groups and handling claim costs.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for filing and handling claims to ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsible to facilitate and monitor modified duties programs.
Perform claim investigation and filing of appeals for workers compensation board.
Responsible for program cost review and analysis and lead initiatives to improve outcomes.
Lead work site production visits and return to work planning meetings.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
