Work Inspector (Traffic)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Inspect traffic management and construction activities for compliance with design, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor progress, report delays or issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Inspect materials and workmanship and maintain inspection, safety, and quality records.
• Coordinate road signage, traffic signals, and pavement marking works with construction teams.
• Manage site safety and liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Assist with testing and commissioning before handover.

Required qualifications

• Diploma in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of traffic management and construction inspection experience on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of traffic management and construction standards, codes, and regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and inspection reporting software.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.

• Proactive problem-solving ability and adaptability to changing circumstances.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing construction work for accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to multitask across multiple inspection activities.
• Familiarity with international standards and Middle East or GCC codes.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and other traffic management design software.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.

Work location

• The role is based in Qatar and involves daily site inspection and traffic management activities.
