Job Description
WebOsmotic is seeking an experienced WordPress Backend Developer with 3+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience.
The role focuses on backend and functional WordPress development, custom plugins, API integrations, automation, database management, security, scalability, and reliability.
The developer will translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and work independently on complex WordPress requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins and backend functionality based on business requirements.
- Build integrations between WordPress and third-party platforms using REST APIs, webhooks, and custom API solutions.
- Develop Zapier-based automation workflows and connect WordPress with external applications.
- Create custom features using PHP, WordPress hooks, filters, custom post types, APIs, and database queries.
- Integrate WordPress with CRMs, payment gateways, email platforms, analytics tools, lead management systems, and other services.
- Develop reusable and scalable backend solutions rather than relying solely on existing plugins.
- Troubleshoot PHP, WordPress, plugin, API, database, and integration issues.
- Review code and improve functionality, performance, security, and maintainability.
