Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines for wooden components used in acrylic related projects
- Load materials, select appropriate tools, enter or adjust CNC programs, and perform test runs to verify accuracy
- Inspect finished pieces, perform basic machine maintenance, and keep the work area clean and safe
- Collaborate with supervisors, designers, and production team members to meet quality standards and deadlines

- Strong machine operation skills, including setup, calibration, and safe handling of CNC machinery
- Hands on experience with machining processes for wood, including cutting, drilling, routing, and shaping
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CNC programs, and production instructions
- Solid understanding of quality control practices, including measurement and inspection of finished parts
- Basic math and measurement skills; familiarity with calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Willingness to work on site in Doha, Qatar, and to support overtime or shift work

Company Description
- Acrylic Factory is Qatar’s only manufacturer of acrylic sheets, established in 2015 and located in Doha’s New Industrial Area.
- The company produces high quality acrylic sheets locally and offers custom fabrication services such as cutting, forming, display units, luxury gift boxes, signage, and other bespoke acrylic solutions.
Role Description
- The Wooden CNC Operator is a full time, on site role based at Acrylic Factory’s facility in Doha, Qatar.
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines for wooden components used in acrylic related projects, ensuring accurate cuts, shapes, and finishes according to technical drawings and work orders.
- Load materials, select appropriate tools, enter or adjust CNC programs, and perform test runs to verify accuracy before full production.
- Inspect finished pieces, perform basic machine maintenance, keep the work area clean and safe, and report any machine issues or material discrepancies.
- Collaborate with supervisors, designers, and production team members to meet quality standards, production deadlines, and client specifications.
Qualifications
- Strong machine operation skills, including setup, calibration, and safe handling of CNC machinery.
- Hands on experience with machining processes for wood, including cutting, drilling, routing, and shaping.
- Knowledge of milling operations and tooling selection appropriate for different wood types and thicknesses.
- Ability to monitor machinery performance, identify issues, and support basic preventive maintenance.
- Solid understanding of quality control practices, including measurement, inspection of finished parts, and adherence to tolerances.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CNC programs, and production instructions.
- Previous experience as a CNC operator, wood machinist, or in a similar manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work accurately under time constraints.
- Basic math and measurement skills; familiarity with calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
- Willingness to work on site in Doha, Qatar, and to support overtime or shift work based on production needs.
