Our New Wiring Technician

Perform point-to-point electrical wiring and assembly of elevator fixture panels by following related electrical CAD schematics.

What you bring to the role

College Diploma in Electrical or equivalent professional experience

Mechanical / electromechanical assembly experience an asset

At least 2 years of experience in Manufacturing preferred

Able to understand the role of each Electrical and Electronics components in the overall schema of Control Panel

Ability to lift up to 15lbs (occasionally up to 50lbs assisted)

Eligible to work in Canada

What you will do in the role

  • Ensure that the elevator fixture panel functions smoothly as per the design of the panel layout
  • Interpret CAD schematic diagram and understand the circuit’s functionality and troubleshooting the issues
  • Conduct wiring of connections, terminate as needed for variety of connectors, control systems, electronic circuit boards, Actuators, Sensors and other electrical devices
  • Assist and conduct inspection, functional and continuity testing, adjusting and evaluation of incoming electrical and electronic components and assemblies to ensure conformance with product specifications and tolerances
  • Inspect fixture panel according to the schematics and instruction, checking the quality of the process
  • Perform complicated and varied tasks and prioritize work orders to meet production schedule
  • Check floor stock by monitoring wiring inventory
  • Inspect assemblies visually with applicable measuring devices and identify non-conformances as applicable
  • Troubleshoot wiring issues and work to resolve them
  • Follow quality control processes and complete inspection documentation as required
  • Maintain a clean work area at all times
  • Complete shop records accurately and on time
  • Able to manage medium to heavy materials, tact and judgement
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to lift up to 15lbs (occasionally up to 50lbs assisted); may work in hot areas 5%, noise 5%
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area
  • This position is located at 6635 Ordan Drive in Mississauga, ON.

Hours are typically

Morning Shift: Mondays to Thursdays from 7:00am to 4:30pm, and Fridays from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Afternoon Shift: Mondays to Thursdays from 4:00pm to 1:00am, and on Fridays 3:00pm to 11:00pm. (afternoon shift premium will be added)

This is a Full-time, Hourly position.
