Specter is hiring a Wireless Software Engineer to own the wireless software stack across a distributed mesh sensor network.

The role spans device radio configuration and control, fleet telemetry and diagnostics, and tooling for RF site design, deployment, and debugging.

Design and maintain wireless software for edge devices, including radio control, channel and power management, QoS, rate control, and remote node interrogation.
Collect, transport, store, and analyze per-link statistics across deployed nodes to enable remote diagnosis of link degradation.
Integrate and characterize vendor wireless chipsets, drivers, and firmware, including driver-level failure modes.
Debug issues across radio, driver, kernel, and application layers and instrument systems for future diagnostics.
Collaborate with RF, hardware, embedded software, and backend teams on interfaces and radio platforms.
Build fleet-operations tooling for monitoring, alerting, configuration management, and targeted recovery.
