Role Overview
Rexel is seeking a Wire Cutter to join the Mayer team in Pompano Beach, Florida.
The role fulfills wire and cable orders using material-handling equipment and wire-reeling or coiling machinery.
Responsibilities
- Perform machine checks and operate material-handling equipment safely.
- Retrieve and cut wire accurately for customer shipments and remove defective pieces.
- Fill orders and ensure outbound shipments are accurate and undamaged.
- Set up wire reels and adjust machine controls for cutting and stripping.
- Stack and store merchandise and stage wire cuts for shipping.
- Maintain wire-cut accuracy and productivity standards.
- Report damage to equipment or racks and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- No experience is required.
- One or more years of wire-cutting experience is preferred.
- Prior warehouse or distribution-center experience is a plus.
- Forklift and warehouse-equipment certification is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and additional driving qualifications apply if deliveries are assigned.
- High School diploma or GED is preferred.
