Job Purpose
The Welfare Officer supports the well-being, welfare, engagement, and day-to-day needs of employees working across UAE catering, food and beverage, and hospitality operations.
The role links employees with HR, Operations, accommodation, transport, catering, and management to address concerns and maintain welfare standards.
The role regularly visits accommodation, catering sites, and operational locations to monitor conditions and coordinate solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for employee welfare matters and resolve complaints and grievances.
- Visit and inspect staff accommodation and catering or F&B operational sites.
- Check cleanliness, hygiene, maintenance, utilities, and general living conditions.
- Coordinate with HR, Operations, Accommodation, Transport, HSE, and Maintenance teams.
- Monitor employee transportation and address transport-related concerns.
- Maintain welfare, grievance, and accommodation inspection records.
- Organize employee engagement, welfare, and recognition activities.
- Gather feedback and recommend improvements to management.
- Monitor dining, rest, recreation, and other welfare provisions.
- Support safe and healthy employee living and working conditions.
- Track complaints, close corrective actions, and prepare welfare reports and KPI dashboards.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling employee concerns and sensitive cases.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, hospitality management, or a related field.
- At least three years of relevant experience in employee welfare, HR, employee relations, camp management, catering, F&B, or hospitality.
- Experience managing welfare issues for a large, multicultural workforce.
- Strong experience in employee accommodation and grievance management.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, conflict-resolution, coordination, and follow-up abilities.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and reporting.
- Ability to work in a field-based, multi-site environment.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Preferred Background
- Experience in large-scale catering, contract catering, hospitality, F&B, facilities management, staff accommodation, or other manpower-intensive industries is preferred.
- Strong UAE experience is preferred.
- A valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
Workplace and Compensation
- The role is field-based and requires regular travel between accommodation facilities, catering sites, and company locations.
- Work location is in person.
- Pay is AED 7,000 to AED 8,000 per month.
