- Operates roasting or grinding machines, product elevators, coolers and / or other devices for production.
- Makes machine adjustments and may service equipment in roasting area as well as ensure maintenance team is informed of all needs.
- Maintains an accurate inventory through use of a computerized inventory system.
- Incorporates rework at established quality specifications as required.
- Responsible for general housekeeping around the roasting or grinding areas.
- Upholds and provides safe, high-quality, consistent products, and superior services that anticipate, meet, or exceed the requirements of our customers.
- Complies with General Safety Communication Program.
- Performs any other duties/tasks that may be assigned to him/her on an as needed basis.
- Understands how to read package quality specifications (die-lines, temperatures, measurements, bag height etc.)
- Basic experience with hand tools.
- Working knowledge of computer basics and experience with data entry.
- Manufacturing experience desired.
- Observes physical changeover of product on the machine.
- Has ability to trouble shoot minor problems on packaging machines.
- Has a novice understanding of centerline machine settings adjustments (time, pressure, temperature).
- Basic ability to read, write, calculate simple math, and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
- High degree of organizational skills required to maintain uninterrupted machine operation.
