As Website Optimisation Lead, you'll turn website data and customer evidence into improvements that make digital journeys easier and deliver measurable value. Own the ongoing review of website performance, using analytics and reporting tools directly to interrogate data, identify trends, diagnose friction, and surface opportunities across priority pages and customer journeys.
Combine quantitative analysis with user research, SEO insight, experimentation results, operational evidence, and stakeholder feedback to develop a clear view of website performance and customer needs.

Maintain and drive the website optimisation backlog, ensuring opportunities are clearly defined, evidence-based, prioritised, translated into action, and measured for impact.
Develop optimisation hypotheses, define success measures, and select appropriate research, testing, or implementation approaches.
Recommend priorities by assessing expected customer and business value, strategic alignment, evidence strength, effort, risk, technical dependencies, and measurement readiness.
Lead cross-functional optimisation initiatives - including page, component, and feature improvements, from investigation and briefing through implementation, business acceptance testing, release validation, and impact measurement, resolving barriers and securing decisions needed to maintain progress.
Translate findings and business needs into clear briefs, requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurement plans for Content, UX, Product, and Technology teams, and contribute specialist website expertise to enterprise initiatives by identifying requirements, dependencies, and implications for the web channel.
Evaluate the impact of optimisation activity through hands-on post-implementation analysis, communicate findings and trade-offs clearly, and recommend whether changes should be scaled, refined, or stopped.
Partner with Analytics specialists where advanced analysis, instrumentation, or methodology is required, while remaining accountable for routine web insight, performance interpretation, and actionable optimisation recommendations.
Identify systemic barriers to website performance and lead improvements to measurement, governance, processes, templates, and ways of working.
Bachelor's degree in digital, analytics, marketing, product, customer experience, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Five or more years of experience in website optimisation, web analytics, digital product, UX, digital marketing, web management, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience independently reviewing and analysing website performance data using enterprise analytics, reporting, or visualisation tools, and converting findings into action.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capability, including the ability to investigate performance questions, identify meaningful patterns, and communicate evidence-based conclusions.
Experience developing hypotheses, defining success measures, and leading experimentation, testing, or structured evaluation of website changes.
Strong understanding of customer journeys, SEO, UX principles, accessibility standards, content performance, and digital best practice.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional optimisation initiatives and influencing delivery priorities without formal authority.
Strong problem-solving, facilitation, presentation, and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex performance findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

In compliance with wage transparency laws in many of the jurisdictions in which we recruit, we provide the following information regarding compensation for this position: Expected salary range: £57,000 - £76,000 per year. All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience, education, and other factors relevant to the position including location. Additional benefits include eligibility for an annual incentive bonus, a 12% employer contribution to a 401(k) or pension plan, and a comprehensive medical benefits package.
