Water Hygiene Engineer - Basingstoke

About the Role

Salary

• Salary is up to £30,000 per annum, plus OTE and double-rate overtime.

Hours

• The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 4pm.
• The position provides 37.5 hours per week, with paid overtime available.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on water systems.
• Complete routine flushing and water sampling and record water temperatures.
• Perform routine water-system checks and report issues, defects, or non-compliances.
• Record completed work accurately using company systems.
• Work professionally on customer sites and maintain positive client relationships.
• Follow health and safety procedures and relevant water hygiene guidance, including ACOP L8 and HSG274.
• Support wider water hygiene and Legionella control activities.

What We're Looking For

• Candidates may have experience in water hygiene, plumbing, facilities management, maintenance, or a similar technical environment.
• Some previous planned preventative maintenance or routine maintenance experience may be suitable.
• Good practical skills, attention to detail, communication skills, and a professional customer approach are expected.
• The role requires independent working, effective time management, and a good understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Candidates must be willing to learn and undertake relevant training.
• A full UK driving licence is required.
