Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Watch Technician role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Watch Technician is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of licensed luxury and fashion watches, including quartz and mechanical movements.

Day-to-day tasks include disassembling and reassembling movements, replacing batteries, gaskets, and crystals, adjusting bracelets and straps, and conducting water-resistance and functional tests.

The role also involves quality control checks, documenting repair work in line with ILG standards, and ensuring that all service procedures comply with brand and warranty requirements.

The Watch Technician will collaborate with the service, logistics, and customer service teams to meet turnaround times and uphold a high standard of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Technical skills in watch repair and servicing, including diagnostics, movement handling, battery replacement, sealing, and basic polishing.
  • Knowledge of quartz and, ideally, mechanical/automatic watch movements, components, and industry-standard tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to perform precise work under time constraints while maintaining quality.
  • Experience working in a service center, workshop, or similar environment within the watch, jewelry, or luxury goods industry is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in English; additional languages commonly used in the region are an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and follow standardized processes, documentation, and quality guidelines.
  • Vocational training, certification, or formal education in horology, watchmaking, or a related technical field is highly beneficial.
  • Commitment to professional ethics, punctuality, reliability, and continuous learning in evolving watch technologies and brands.
