Responsibilities
- Control waste management issues related to handling, treatment and disposal of all solid, liquid, hazardous and toxic wastes
- Manage inspection of waste management and disposal facilities
- Develop and implement waste management programs
- Review and approve contracts for waste management
- Maintain permits for waste storage, transportation and exportation
- Manage recycling and waste collection day to day activities
- Advise projects on waste management plans
- Administer environmental review program and audit performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science or similar
- 7 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- 4 years at Supervisor/Mid Management level
- Knowledge of waste management regulations and practices

Job Details
- Department: Environment, Section: Waste Management, Reports to: Manager, Environmental
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to development and execution of Department strategic plan.
- Monitor, control and report key performance indicators.
- Manage activities of direct reports and performance management.
- Control waste management issues related to handling, treatment and disposal of all solid, liquid, hazardous and toxic wastes.
- Deal with research and consultation on design and performance of waste management systems.
- Act as focal point for maintaining access to updated regulations on waste management.
- Review and approve contracts plan for waste management.
- Maintain company's permits for waste storage, transportation and exportation.
- Manage waste classification using certified laboratories.
- Manage inspection of waste management and waste disposal facilities.
- Manage and coordinate development of waste management systems on site.
- Manage all recycling and waste collection day to day activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science or any similar discipline.
- Total of 7 10 years of experience in the O&G Industry, out of which 4 years at a Supervisor / Mid Management level.
