EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• The successful candidate must have completed some High School.
• Prior related experience, including in a warehouse or thrift store setting, is an asset.

Special Licenses, Diplomas, Certifications or Requirements

• Must hold or obtain a recent Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, satisfactory to TSA.
• Must receive clearance from TSA Abuse Registry Check.
• Required to complete WHMIS training annually.
• Required to complete Praesidum Academy training modules relevant to position.
• Current certification in First Aid / CPR, or willingness to obtain, is an asset.
• Current certification for Forklift operation, or willingness to obtain, is an asset.

• Creative and flexible with the ability to adapt based on team, program, and service needs.

Skills and Capabilities

• The performance of the job requires physical dexterity; frequently sitting for long periods of time, twisting, bending, crouching, reaching, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling, lifting and kneeling and lifting up to 251bs. May on occasion be required to lift, move, or transport weights up to 501bs. Attention to detail and the ability to follow directions and well-defined steps.
• Ability and willingness to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully that are satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion (i.e., The Salvation Army Abuse Registry) and provide an original copy of a Background Check screening.

• Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
