Role purpose

Supervise the overall warehouse functions and ensure compliance with contractual terms and equipment maintenance requirements.

Provide warehouse services to production, planning, export, EHS, quality, food safety, FGPM, and freight teams.

Coordinate activities between warehouse departments and distribution centers.

Warehouse operations

  • Follow daily plans for potato consignment offloading and track pending offloading activities.
  • Ensure daily internal transfers are executed and inbound and outbound flows follow procedures and company policies.
  • Ensure optimum warehouse space utilization and orient the warehouse crew on new SKUs.
  • Prepare weekly plans, assign responsibilities and resources, and conduct pre-shift meetings.

Inventory and reporting

  • Prepare monthly IMPM reports, weekly ageing reports, purchase order status reports, non-moving materials reports, and quality hold reports.
  • Review daily and monthly inventory and investigate the root cause of any variance.
  • Review SAP movements through weekly test scripts and acknowledge documents processed by storekeepers.
  • Ensure KPI, quality hold, and month-end closing reports are accurate and delivered on time.

Safety, quality, and compliance

  • Upload incident and near-miss reports in MYEHS with effective action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with PIT procedures, forklift training schedules, SWP implementation, and AIB standards.
  • Maintain food safety standards through document reviews, daily meetings, and alignment with the team.
  • Ensure audit requirements, including COSO test effectiveness, are met.

Equipment and supplier coordination

  • Follow up on weighbridge and oil tank calibration and coordinate preventive maintenance for forklifts and other equipment.
  • Inspect equipment use, verify checklists, and align with engineering on breakdown issues and services.
  • Follow supplier invoices and payments through completion for provided services.
  • Review contract labor timesheets and submit them to HR.

Projects and decisions

  • Track mock recall timelines from receiving through issuance to production.
  • Execute write-offs and disposal activities and participate in warehouse development projects.
  • Make decisions on weekend schedules and work priorities.
  • Execute important management-directed tasks within the required timeframe.

Required qualifications

  • Minimum two years of supply chain experience, preferably in a warehouse business.
  • A degree in Commerce, Finance, or technical studies.
  • A qualification in supply chain or warehousing management.
  • Good spoken and written English is required.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, planning, and cross-functional skills are required.

Additional capabilities

  • Food manufacturing experience is advantageous.
  • The candidate should adapt quickly to new technologies and improve technical skills.
  • The candidate should be self-motivated and able to identify, initiate, and implement corrective actions.
