Job purpose
Supervise overall warehouse functions and ensure compliance with contractual terms and equipment-maintenance requirements.
Provide warehouse services and coordination for production, planning, export, EHS, quality, food safety, finished-goods planning, freight, and distribution centers.
The direct manager is the Warehouse Manager, and subordinates include storekeepers and dispatchers.
Warehouse operations
- Follow up on daily plans for potato-consignment offloading and pending offloading tasks.
- Ensure inbound and outbound flows follow procedures and company policies.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and track daily productivity KPIs.
- Prepare weekly plans and assign responsibilities and resources for production and sales requirements.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings, allocate daily tasks, and communicate updates.
Reporting and controls
- Prepare IMPM, ageing, purchase-order status, non-moving materials, KPI, quality-hold, and month-end closing reports.
- Review SAP movements, storekeeper documents, inventory records, and root causes of variances.
- Follow up on supplier invoices and payments for services.
- Coordinate write-offs and disposal activities.
Safety, quality, and compliance
- Upload incident and near-miss reports in MYEHS with effective action plans.
- Ensure PIT procedures, forklift training, SWP workflows, audit requirements, COSO testing, AIB standards, and food-safety standards are followed.
- Track quality-hold materials and coordinate with the Quality team.
- Maintain documentation, cleaning, and food-safety reviews and support effective mock recalls.
Equipment and staff coordination
- Coordinate weighbridge and oil-tank calibration, forklift pre-maintenance, equipment inspections, checklists, services, and preventive maintenance.
- Orient warehouse staff on new SKUs and coordinate with Engineering on breakdowns.
- Review contract-labor timesheets and submit them to HR.
- Coordinate with production, planning, export, EHS, quality, food safety, freight, engineering, fleet, and distribution centers.
Required qualifications
- At least two years of supply-chain experience, preferably in warehouse and cross-functional roles.
- A degree in commerce, finance, or technical studies.
- A qualification in supply-chain or warehousing management.
- Self-motivated leadership ability to identify, initiate, and implement corrective actions.
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, planning, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Good spoken and written English and the ability to work with supervision.
Preferred experience
- Experience in a food-manufacturing organization and the ability to apply solutions across the whole supply chain are advantageous.
Decision-making scope
- Decision-making authority includes weekend scheduling and work priorities.
