Role Description
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations, supervises warehouse staff, and supports efficient goods handling.
The role is responsible for inventory accuracy, productivity, fulfilment, and a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities and operations.
- Lead, assign, and monitor warehouse staff.
- Oversee receiving, checking, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
- Ensure goods are correctly labelled, stored, and handled.
- Monitor stock levels, maintain inventory records, conduct stock counts, and investigate discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, logistics, and other departments.
- Monitor shipments and ensure timely order fulfilment.
- Enforce warehouse procedures, company policies, and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
- Monitor warehouse equipment and tools and ensure proper use.
- Train and guide staff on procedures, safety, and handling practices.
- Prepare reports, address operational issues, and implement efficiency improvements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous warehouse operations experience is required; supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse procedures, and logistics operations is required.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, WMS, or ERP systems is advantageous.
- Candidates should be physically fit, organised, accurate, disciplined, and able to manage a team.
- Candidates must be willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, or overtime when required.
Work Environment
- The role is performed in a warehouse environment and involves physical warehouse operations.
