Responsibilities
- Manage the central warehouse and oversee all operations related to receiving, storage, dispatch, and shipping.
- Lead the warehouse team and allocate daily tasks based on operational priorities.
- Supervise the receipt of container shipments and organize the unloading process securely for fragile products.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards for incoming products and prevent damage or incorrect handling.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate reporting and documentation of stock movements.
- Implement safety standards for handling glass products and prevent accidents or mishandling.
- Maintain records of inventory and generate reports on stock levels, damages, and discrepancies.
- Analyze operational performance and suggest improvements for efficiency and productivity.
- Train staff on safe handling and storage practices for glass products.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Strong experience in managing and operating central warehouses
- Experience in household glass products or diverse inventory management
- Proven experience in managing a warehouse team of at least 15 employees
- Familiarity with handling container shipments and large scale receiving operations
- Experience in managing inventory with a significant number of SKUs
- Knowledge of handling fragile products like glass and ceramics
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and Excel for inventory management and reporting
- Strong leadership skills and ability to allocate tasks effectively
- High attention to detail in monitoring inventory movements and daily reports
- Ability to work under pressure, especially during container arrivals or peak demand periods
- Good understanding of safety standards and handling procedures for fragile products
