ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Other duties as assigned.
• Fill customer orders as assigned by picking, scale counting, packing, or shipping material.
• Generate appropriate labels for product identification and/or mark materials with identifying information.
• Prepare parcels for shipment in accordance with Heilind and customer specifications to prevent damage, ensure preservation, and accurate identification.
• Work in a manner that promotes efficient handling and minimizes waste.
• Participate in Company sponsored training and process improvement activities.
• Comply with all Company Policies as defined in the Company’s Warehouse Orientation Packet.
• Pursue continuous improvement through training and process improvement.
• Comply with all applicable elements of the Company’s Quality Management System.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Must have attention to detail.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• To perform the position, you much be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR. ITAR defines a US Person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (I.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Must be able to report to assigned office location during scheduled in-office workdays.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to use electronic devices such as barcode scanners for material pulling and material put away.
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• *Position may require operating motor vehicles such as turret trucks, waves, forklifts, or packing machines. On the job training and certifications will be provided.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. • Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory, strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.
