Warehouse Assistant Manager

Spartan Logistics is a third-party logistics (3PL) company headquartered in Columbus, OH.

We specialize in a unique logistics model: We own and operate our own warehouses, fleet, forklifts, and other key equipment.

We have decades of experience in fast-moving inventory, especially food and beverages, and also are veteran handlers of glass, paper, automotive supplies, and more.

With our staff of more than 400, we operate over 4 million square feet of warehouse space strategically placed throughout Ohio, Indiana, South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Georgia and Texas.

We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team in CITY.

The position is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in planning, directing, and coordinating transportation, storage, and distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations.

What you’ll be doing as an Assistant Manager:

• Assist with managing day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including freight, returns, receiving, parcels and transfers.
• Recruit, train and retain warehouse team members.
• In conjunction with the Warehouse Manager, strive to maintain high levels of accuracy in daily operations
• Processing orders
• Operating mechanical and IT systems
• Liaising with customers and other departments
• Supervising and appraising staff members
