Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of warehouse policies, procedures, and objectives
- Monitor department expenditures to ensure alignment with budget and suggest corrective actions
- Conduct feasibility studies for storage capacity enhancements and propose cost saving measures
- Develop and optimize warehouse operational procedures
- Monitor and support ongoing staff training to improve operational efficiency
- Implement strategic work plans and developmental projects for process improvement
- Enforce warehouse system standards, store layout management, and FEFO / FIFO practices
- Ensure accuracy of inventory control systems; resolve any discrepancies
- Participate in inventory audit and ensure alignment between physical stock and system data
- Assist in defining safety stock policies in coordination with planning and capacity analysis
- Enforce health, safety, and industrial standards (fire, electrical, PPE, etc.)
- Maintain updated documentation in compliance with quality management systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in any discipline
- Minimum 5+ years in the food Industry
- Good leadership skills, able to inspire, mentor and support a team
- Good communication, influencing and presentation skills
- Proficient in inventory and warehouse systems
- Distribution operations knowledge
- Report writing and performance analysis
