Role Overview
Warehouse and Logistics Manager in the Supply Chain department of a rigid plastic manufacturing business.
The role covers raw materials, packaging materials, work in progress, finished goods, dispatch, transportation, warehouse, and inventory management.
The position reports to the COO and has direct reports across warehouse supervision, logistics, stores, materials handling, and transport coordination.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Requires 8–12+ years of warehouse, logistics, and supply chain operations experience.
- Three to five years in a managerial position is preferred.
- Rigid plastic or packaging manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of customs procedures, export documentation, and free zone requirements is essential.
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing warehouses, dispatch operations, and ERP, WMS, or warehouse automation systems is essential.
- APICS or similar professional supply chain qualifications are an advantage.
Warehouse Management
- Manage daily raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods warehouse operations.
- Establish warehouse layouts, storage locations, material flow, inventory locations, and bin management systems.
- Use warehouse space effectively and implement FIFO or FEFO principles where applicable.
- Monitor material consumption against production standards and maintain identification, labelling, segregation, and traceability.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of PET resin, HDPE, PP, masterbatch, additives, colorants, packaging materials, and finished plastic products.
- Develop warehouse SOPs and work instructions and maintain housekeeping and 5S standards.
Logistics and Dispatch
- Coordinate dispatch priorities with Sales and Customer Service.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics and plan customer deliveries based on order requirements and production availability.
- Ensure OTIF delivery performance and prepare daily dispatch plans.
- Coordinate with Sales, Planning, Production, and Quality before dispatch.
Systems and Technology
- Ensure effective utilization of ERP and WMS systems.
- Implement barcode or QR-code scanning where appropriate.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 5,000–AED 9,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work location is in person in SAIF Zone, Sharjah, U.A.E.
