Summary
Provide friendly, efficient table service to guests in a restaurant, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests, present menus, and explain daily specials
- Take food and drink orders accurately and enter into POS
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously
- Check on guests, refill drinks, and respond to requests
- Clear and reset tables; maintain cleanliness of dining area
- Process payments and handle cash/credit transactions
- Coordinate with kitchen and bussing staff to ensure smooth service
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods; lift up to \~25 lbs
- Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems (preferred)
- Team player with a positive attitude; prior serving experience preferred but not required
- Valid food handler certificate if required by local regulations
