Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests, presenting menus, and seating them at tables.
• Accurately recording food and drink orders, often using a POS system, and communicating them to the kitchen.
• Delivering orders to the correct tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
• Checking on guests throughout their meal, addressing any issues or requests, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Suggesting specials or additional items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
• Processing payments (cash, credit cards), making change, and closing out checks.
• Clearing tables, resetting them for the next guests, and ensuring the dining area is clean and organized.
• Collaborating with kitchen and other service staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
• Following health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.
• May include tasks like rolling silverware, stocking supplies, and preparing for service.
