The Waiter delivers a sophisticated culinary experience to guests in a high-end restaurant.
Fine-dining service requires culinary knowledge, formal etiquette, and anticipation of guest needs.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain detailed knowledge of menus, ingredients, preparation techniques, allergens, and wine or cocktail pairings.
- Execute precise formal service techniques, including serving, clearing, pouring, and synchronized table drops.
- Adapt service to the occasion and anticipate guest needs throughout the meal.
- Guide guests through tasting menus and recommend premium beverages and pairings.
- Communicate dietary restrictions, pacing requests, and order modifications to the kitchen.
- Keep silverware, glassware, and porcelain spotless and precisely arranged.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in an upscale, fine-dining, or Michelin-starred environment.
- Strong knowledge of fine wines, spirits, premium ingredients, and culinary terminology.
- Exceptional poise, refined communication, and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Immaculate presentation and adherence to uniform and grooming standards.
- Ability to stand and walk for long shifts while carrying heavy trays, plates, or wine buckets.
