Role Overview
The Trust Operations Manager is responsible for daily operations activities within the Trust and Wealth Management Department.
The role covers recordkeeping, trust transaction documentation, risk management oversight, and operations compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Balance and reconcile the GlobalWealth ES system daily, monthly, and annually while ensuring accurate transaction processing.
- Supervise security trade posting, income processing, and capital structures transactions.
- Reconcile assets held at custodians, brokers, mutual funds, and DRP agents.
- Set up and close GlobalWealth ES accounts and oversee incoming and outgoing asset transfers.
- Produce customer statements, tax forms, tax files, IRA statements, and required minimum distribution notifications.
- Coordinate with outside tax preparers on filing deadlines and beneficiary K-1 delivery.
- Manage Trust and Wealth Management audits and prepare audit packages and related requests.
- Oversee online trust portals, mobile applications, and GWES accounting platform support.
- Train and supervise Operations staff and prepare assigned management reports.
- Address noncompliance, operational issues, internal controls, policies, procedures, and business continuity planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college.
- Three or more years of Trust Operations or Wealth Advisory Administration experience, including at least two years in management or supervision.
- Experience with trust securities and strong knowledge of FDIC regulations, banking, accounting, trading, investments, reconciliations, demand deposit accounts, and electronic fund transfers.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
- Excellent communication, client service, multitasking, deadline management, composure, reliability, and financial mathematics skills.
- GlobalWealth ES accounting software experience is preferred.
Pay Range
- The pay range is $90,000 to $140,000 depending on experience.
