VMware Infrastructure and Storage Engineer

5+ years of progressive hands-on experience administering and supporting VMware technologies in enterprise production environments, including vSphere/ESXi, VMware Cloud Director, and VMware Aria Operations.

Demonstrated experience planning, leading, or playing a significant technical role in VMware platform upgrades, including vSphere 7.x to 8.x migrations and associated infrastructure lifecycle activities.

Experience supporting, optimizing and troubleshooting enterprise private cloud or multi-tenant service provider environments.

Strong understanding of enterprise storage architectures and Fibre Channel SAN technologies, including zoning, multipathing, replication, snapshots, capacity planning, and performance troubleshooting.

Experience administering and supporting one or more enterprise storage platforms, such as Dell Unity, PowerStore, PowerVault ME, EMC PowerScale, HPE Nimble Storage, HPE Alletra, or similar technologies.

Experience with VMware automation and orchestration technologies, including VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator (formerly vRealize Orchestrator).

Experience administering enterprise backup platforms, preferably Veeam Backup & Replication and/or Dell EMC IDPA/Avamar.

Experience supporting disaster recovery and replication technologies, preferably VMware Cloud Director Availability (vCDA/vCAv) and/or Zerto.

Strong working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory, including administration, troubleshooting, DNS, authentication services, and Group Policy.

Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across virtualization, storage, backup, networking, and operating system layers.

Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical issues, and drive them through resolution

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to new technologies and evolving infrastructure platforms.
