BNY is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer at Vice President level.
The role is located in Manchester and supports technology solutions for a global financial services company.
The position works across Java microservices, Angular interfaces, distributed data systems, APIs, testing, and CI.
Impact and responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, scrum masters, and front-end and back-end developers.
- Design, develop, and implement modular Java Spring Boot microservices.
- Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript or Java.
- Ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end components.
- Design, develop, and optimize CosmosDB data models for distributed systems.
- Create RESTful APIs and gRPC integrations between microservices and external systems.
- Conduct code reviews and unit testing while maintaining CI and high code quality.
Required experience
- Strong skills in core and advanced Java and object-oriented programming.
- Proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience developing and deploying microservices architectures with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Data, or similar frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as CosmosDB or MongoDB.
- In-depth knowledge of REST API principles and the HTTP protocol.
- Solid grasp of Git, CI/CD, and Agile principles.
Preferred knowledge
- Knowledge of JIRA, JUnit, and Apache Kafka is preferred.
- Familiarity with containerization tools and cloud platforms is required as a preferred qualification.
