The Opportunity
The Vice President, Engineering reports to the Chief Product and Technology Officer.
The role is accountable for application engineering, engineering standards, technical delivery, software quality, release readiness, application reliability, supportability, and modernization.
The role leads teams that design, build, test, release, support, and modernize applications, platforms, and systems supporting lending and internal and external experiences.
How You Will Contribute
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering organization including engineering managers, technical leads, application engineering, QA, DevSecOps, release management, architecture, and support.
- Embed QA, test automation, DevSecOps, architecture, release readiness, change management, observability, and operational support into end-to-end delivery.
- Establish engineering performance measures across predictability, productivity, quality, release health, reliability, supportability, and technical debt.
- Translate business priorities and product roadmaps into sequenced engineering plans with clear tradeoffs, dependencies, risks, capacity, and release expectations.
- Lead planning, sequencing, capacity tradeoffs, and delivery commitments across engineering, product delivery, and business analysis teams.
- Ensure architecture and technical designs are scalable, secure, maintainable, testable, observable, and supportable.
