Role Overview
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Viaduct Inspector to join our Construction Supervision team on a Metro Rail project.
In this role you will get to oversee the construction of viaducts, ensuring they meet the project's design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Be Doing: Inspects site conditions to ensure suitability for the designed permanent works.
Perform regular and thorough inspections of viaduct construction sites to assess the quality of work, materials, and adherence to project plans.
Supervise construction activities to ensure they are executed according to the project timeline, identifying any delays or deviations from the plan.
Inspect the structural components of the viaduct, such as beams, columns, and supports, to ensure they meet engineering and safety standards.
Examine construction materials and workmanship to verify they comply with the project's specifications and quality standards.
Verify and ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures on-site to protect workers and ensure public safety.
Analyze construction plans and specifications to understand project requirements and anticipate potential challenges.
Inspect construction, including temporary, works to ensure compliance with approved methods and contract requirements.
Maintain records of inspections, work executed, etc.
Direct Inspectors and ensure performance.
Assist in or measure work done when required.
Assist in review of installation and as-built drawings.
Assist with inspection of completed works, prepare sang lists and handover to operating authority.
Act positively, and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required by the Resident Engineer, and project Safety Representative.
What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor Degree in Civil, or Structural Engineering with minimum 4 years related construction supervision experience.
Or Diploma in Civil, or Structural Engineering with minimum 7 years related construction supervision experience.
Project experience in construction inspection or supervision, particularly in infrastructure projects like bridges and/or viaducts is necessary .
Preferably with related work experience in Dubai, UAE, or GCC in an engineering consulting firm.
Proficiency in using inspection tools and technology, such as surveying equipment, software for structural analysis, and project management tools.
Work experience on a metro rail project is preferrable.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Knowledge and experience using computer software.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.
Commitment to safe work practices.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders, as well as for preparing detailed reports and documentation.
