Veterinary Technician

Meredith Place Veterinary Emergency is looking for a compassionate and skilled Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our dedicated emergency team. As a Certified Veterinary Technician, you'll play an essential role in providing high-quality emergency care by:

Assisting veterinarians with emergency examinations, treatments, and procedures

Providing compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients

Performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, blood draws, and laboratory sample collection

Administering medications and fluid therapy as directed

Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgical procedures when needed

Taking and positioning patients for digital radiographs and other diagnostics

Monitoring patient recovery and recognizing changes in patient condition

Educating clients on treatments, medications, and discharge instructions

Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting a smooth hospital workflow

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) required

Emergency or critical care experience preferred, but motivated GP technicians are encouraged to apply

Strong technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and patient care

Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
