Description

As our Bilingual Veterinary Clinic Receptionist , you’ll help create a compassionate, efficient experience for English- and Spanish-speaking clients while supporting a veterinary team committed to serving animals and our community.

What You’ll Do

As the first point of contact for clients and their pets, you’ll keep communication and daily clinic operations running smoothly. Your organization, professionalism, and ability to put people at ease will make a meaningful difference during every visit.

Welcome clients and pets and provide responsive service in both English and Spanish.

Schedule appointments, surgeries, and follow-up visits while helping maintain an efficient patient flow.

Support communication between veterinary professionals and clients through translation and interpretation when needed.

Maintain accurate client and patient records, process payments and invoices, and assist with other administrative responsibilities.

Partner closely with the veterinary team to communicate client needs and support timely check-in and check-out.

Respond to questions, concerns, and emotionally stressful situations with empathy, professionalism, discretion, and a calming presence.

What You’ll Bring

You’re an organized, compassionate professional who enjoys helping people and animals. You can balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while communicating clearly and respectfully with clients, coworkers, volunteers, and the public.

You’ll bring a high school diploma or equivalent , proficiency in written and spoken English and Spanish , customer service experience in an office setting, strong computer and database skills, and excellent communication, interpersonal, multitasking, and organizational abilities.

Preferred, but not required: An associate’s degree; experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or medical office; experience serving a diverse client base or handling confidential client/medical records; or awareness of animal behavior and stress signals.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, non-exempt clinic position combining continuous sitting, keyboarding, talking, and listening with frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting. The clinic environment includes frequent exposure to allergens, odors, cleaning chemicals, and loud noises, as well as potential exposure to animal waste, bodily fluids, zoonotic disease, and occasional animal-related injury risks.
