We are currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our hospital team. This position provides hands-on patient support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in creating a welcoming experience for both pets and their families to our clinic located in St. Catharines, Ontario.
As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an important role in keeping our hospital running smoothly by:
Welcoming clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
Coordinating appointments and managing client communications by phone and email
Maintaining accurate medical records and client information
Assisting veterinarians and RVTs with patient care, treatments, and examinations
Supporting diagnostic and treatment procedures as directed by the medical team
Ensuring treatment, exam, and kennel areas remain clean, organized, and well-stocked
Providing pet owners with guidance on home care instructions and preventive healthcare recommendations
Helping create a positive experience for every client and patient who walks through our doors
The ideal candidate will bring:
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, animal care environment, or customer service role
A genuine passion for animal health and client care
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
