The Role
Lead the organization's vendor portfolio and ensure suppliers and service providers meet contractual, operational, commercial, quality, and compliance requirements.
Manage vendor relationships across their lifecycle, establish performance frameworks, conduct business reviews, resolve escalations, manage risks, and drive measurable value.
Vendor Management Responsibilities
- Lead the vendor-management function and develop its strategy, policies, procedures, standards, governance, segmentation, and relationship frameworks.
- Manage vendor onboarding, due diligence, qualification, records, lifecycle controls, and coordination with Procurement, Finance, Legal, Compliance, IT, Security, Quality, and Operations.
- Define and monitor vendor KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, dashboards, service quality, delivery, responsiveness, cost, availability, capacity, compliance, and satisfaction.
- Conduct vendor business reviews, document commitments, track corrective actions, investigate failures, develop improvement plans, and escalate material risks.
- Manage strategic relationships, executive engagement, vendor capabilities, capacity, financial position, market position, collaboration, and innovation opportunities.
- Monitor contracts, renewals, pricing, service levels, warranties, rebates, credits, penalties, deviations, commercial leakage, and opportunities for improved terms.
- Coordinate sourcing and procurement activities, vendor rationalization, consolidation, diversification, transitions, and continuity during vendor changes.
