Role Description
The Vending Operations Technician and Driver keeps vending machines stocked, clean, operational, and presented to a high standard.
The hands-on role combines restocking, route planning, machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support.
Operations and Stock
- Receive products from suppliers or the company warehouse and organize stock.
- Check stock levels daily using the telemetry platform.
- Prepare restocking lists and plan efficient service routes.
- Visit locations to restock machines, rotate products, and monitor expiry dates.
- Maintain spare parts and maintenance inventory.
Machine Servicing
- Keep machines clean, tidy, and presentable.
- Complete inspection, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and restocking checklists during every visit.
- Adjust spirals and product layouts and update prices and machine settings.
- Identify and fix common machine faults on site and replace standard spare parts.
- Monitor machine performance and report recurring technical issues.
Driving and Customer Support
- Respond quickly to machine breakdowns or customer requests.
- Drive the company vehicle safely while following planned daily routes.
- Support machine installations, relocations, and removals when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience working for a vending machine operator is essential.
- Knowledge of vending machine operation, servicing, and different machine brands is required.
- Ability to adjust spirals, layouts, pricing, settings, and common machine faults is required.
- Experience with vending telemetry systems and mobile or laptop monitoring tools is required.
- Knowledge of stock management, product rotation, and efficient service routes is required.
- A valid UAE driving licence is required.
- Good communication, reliability, organization, and independent working ability are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of repairing and maintaining vending machines from different manufacturers is preferred.
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills are preferred.
- Experience carrying out preventive maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and stock handling is preferred.
