About the Role
AVTR is seeking a VAT Senior Manager/Director in Abu Dhabi to lead VAT engagements, provide technical advice on VAT impact, and manage client relationships.

- Lead the successful delivery of VAT engagements, taking a professional, practical and commercial approach and ensuring technical excellence
- Give professional advice, both written and in person, on VAT impact on clients’ supply chain and financial and accounting systems
- Identify and address areas of VAT risk, advise clients on VAT implication of transactions and assist them in complying with VAT regulations
- Build and maintain relationships with clients
- Help people develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff
Requirements
- Degree in economics, finance, tax, or accounting; CPA or similar certification
- Minimum 7 years of work experience in a professional services or professional tax organization dealing with indirect tax matters
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Strong drive to excel professionally and to guide and motivate others
- Independent in managing own workload, ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks
- Excellent team player
- Experience working in multicultural teams

The Role

To qualify for the role, you must have
