Working across national, regional and local environments, you will co-lead high-quality Health Technology Assessment submissions, support pricing and access strategy, and partner with cross-functional colleagues to build compelling value propositions for payers and healthcare stakeholders.
Accountabilities
- Co-lead the development and delivery of high-quality HTA submissions in close collaboration with Health Economics colleagues and cross-functional teams.

- Develop and deliver UK access and pricing strategies for launch and in-line brands, working with local and global stakeholders.
- Act as a subject matter expert on the UK market access environment, including national, regional and local access and funding pathways.
- Engage national, regional and local stakeholders through appropriate processes to secure access and funding for AstraZeneca medicines.

- Represent AstraZeneca on external working groups to support future access policy development and raise AstraZeneca’s profile.
- Co-develop national and local value propositions to support engagement with payer stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with AstraZeneca and ABPI governance frameworks and policies.
Essential for the Role
- First degree in economics, life sciences or a related discipline.
- Relevant healthcare, pharmaceutical industry or consultancy experience.
- Experience of HTA submissions and a strong understanding of evidence requirements for value arguments based on clinical evidence and cost-effectiveness.
- Strong understanding of UK market access, access and funding pathways, and the NHS environment.
- Demonstrable leadership, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong project management capability, with a track record of delivering through collaboration to agreed timelines.
- Experience of customer relationship management and working effectively in a complex matrix environment.
- Ability to work compliantly within pharmaceutical industry governance frameworks and policies.
Desirable for the Role
- Master’s degree in evidence-based medicine, epidemiology or a related discipline.
- External management consultancy experience.
- Experience managing external suppliers.
- Advanced Excel and data handling or insight software capability.
- Excellent understanding of, or experience working within, the NHS.
Office Working Requirements
When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
In-person working gives us the platform we need to connect, work at pace and challenge perceptions.
That’s why we work, on average, a minimum of three days per week from the office.
But that doesn’t mean we’re not flexible.
We balance the expectation of being in the office while respecting individual flexibility.
