About This Role
The Private Valuation Team supports valuation functions for private and illiquid investments.
The team coordinates valuation oversight and supporting documentation among investment professionals, valuation providers, accounting providers, auditors, and fund services.
Role Responsibility
- Prepare valuation documentation for private equity, private debt, and other alternative investments.
- Support monthly and quarterly valuation cycles.
- Manage data workflows with third-party valuation firms and investment teams.
- Address inquiries, perform controls, solve problems, and mitigate client and internal risks.
- Drive platform and process innovations to support business needs and improve quality.
- Review and tie out valuation templates and coordinate comments and sign-off.
- Review legal documents establishing rights associated with newly purchased securities.
- Prepare materials for Valuation Committee and Pricing Committee review.
- Liaise with auditors and valuation firms and answer questions.
- Review fair value reporting from underlying managers and co-investment sponsors.
- Operate as part of a global team.
Experience
- A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
