Job Description
Join the engineering team to drive performance, reliability, and quality across motor and gearbox product lines.
Bridge R&D and production through test setup specification, validation protocols, and root-cause failure investigations.
Core Responsibilities
- Work with Design/R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Reliability teams.
- Provide feedback on design-for-testability and design-for-reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with design and R&D teams to implement corrective actions.
- Design or specify dynamometers and test benches for motor performance testing.
Motor Testing
- Test torque-speed characteristics, efficiency, current draw, commutation accuracy, synchronous behavior, thermal rise, back-EMF, and cogging or ripple torque.
- Investigate failures including bearing failures, winding insulation breakdown, gear tooth pitting or wear, and demagnetization.
Gearbox and Validation Testing
- Test gearbox efficiency, backlash, noise and vibration, lubrication effectiveness, gear tooth wear, and thermal performance.
- Plan validation across component, subsystem, and full-assembly lifecycle stages.
