Role Overview
The VIE Legal Advisor will join the Legal team under the supervision of the Head of Legal.
The role supports the GLBA platform and regional legal activities in Dubai.
Responsibilities
- Provide advisory and documentation support for GLBA initiatives in the region.
- Review and negotiate loan documentation, legal opinions, NDAs, mandates, waivers, and other ancillary agreements.
- Interact with external counsel and contribute to GLBA and cross-border guideline updates.
- Review service agreements and support the needs of SUs.
- Contribute to regional legal and regulatory monitoring, cross-border legal work, governance, and reporting.
Profile Required
- Graduate master's degree from a business school or university with a specialization in Corporate Finance Law.
- Formal proof of M2 diploma validation is mandatory before the assignment start date.
- Previous experience in an international bank is appreciated.
- Fluent English, strong communication and presentation skills, and proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to understand complex legal structures and learn new legal and business concepts quickly.
- Interest in transaction-related legal concepts including contract, arbitration, corporate, and banking law.
VIE Assignment
- The VIE assignment is based in Dubai, begins as soon as possible, and requires approximately three months between application and start.
- The assignment lasts 12 months and is governed by the specific VIE contract framework.
