Utility Person – 3rd Shift- City Utilities – Field Operations 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. | Required on-call rotation

As a Utility Person, you will perform skilled and general labor to help maintain and restore the City's water, sewer, and stormwater systems.

This position involves outdoor physical work, heavy equipment operation, construction, and emergency response.

• Operate heavy trucks, front-end loaders, haul equipment, power tools, and other construction equipment.
• Install and repair water mains, services, hydrants, valves, curb boxes, and new taps.
• Install and repair sewer and stormwater mains, laterals, culverts, manholes, inlets, catch basins, ditches, and swales.
• Excavate and expose buried utilities; form, pour, and finish concrete and complete temporary or permanent asphalt repairs.
• Inspect and maintain assigned vehicles, equipment, tools, and work areas while following all safety procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform heavy, strenuous physical work in changing weather and demanding field conditions.
