Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines and upholstery equipment
- Sew and assemble upholstery covers, cushions, seat covers, and interior trim components
- Cut, measure, and prepare fabric, leather, vinyl, and other materials according to specifications
- Read patterns, templates, drawings, and work instructions
- Perform decorative stitching, topstitching, and reinforcement stitching as required
- Repair damaged upholstery, seams, and covers
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and durability
- Maintain sewing machines and tools in proper working condition
- Collaborate with upholsterers and production teams to meet project requirements and deadlines
- Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Proven experience in upholstery stitching, tailoring, or industrial sewing
- Ability to operate single needle, double needle, and walking foot sewing machines
- Knowledge of upholstery materials, patterns, and sewing techniques
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
