Role Overview
Design and develop multirotor, fixed-wing, and hybrid VTOL UAV platforms.
The role covers airframe design, aerodynamics, structural analysis, propulsion selection, prototyping, and flight testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design UAV airframes, components, motor mounts, landing gear, and aerodynamic parts using 3D CAD.
- Perform aerodynamic, structural, CFD/FEA, and propulsion analyses.
- Select and optimize motors, propellers, ESCs, and batteries.
- Design lightweight structures using carbon fiber, composites, and other engineering materials.
- Integrate cameras, LiDAR, GPS, flight controllers, and other UAV payloads.
- Support 3D printing, CNC, composite fabrication, assembly, and prototype testing.
- Participate in ground and flight testing and troubleshoot mechanical or aerodynamic issues.
- Prepare engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in UAV, drone, aerospace, or mechanical design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360, Creo, or a similar CAD tool.
- Knowledge of aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, composites, and UAV systems.
